紅花韭蘭

 退休+手機真好!



紅花韭蘭葉子扁平(蔥蘭葉子圓且中空),又名風雨蘭,種在破鋁盆擺在家前陽台已超過20年。平常澆澆水,少施肥。偶而出遠門,沒人照顧,回來還健在。20幾年來,不太注意何時開花,完全忽視她的存在。昨天看到枯萎-ing的紅花,心血來潮,讓她做個主角。以手機拍照下來,留住她的青春,讓大家賞心悅目一番。
It is wonderful to be retired and to have iPhone.
The name of this flower is called the leek orchid, having flat leaves, which differ from that of the onion orchid having hollow round leaves. It has been around in a broken aluminum pot on our balcony for more than 20 years. We just watered it often with less fertilizer, sometimes we left it behind without taking care of it when we traveled. It still survived. In these years, I didn't pay attention to when it blooms and almost ignored its existence. I took the picture of it and had it be a leading role while it is withering yesterday to keep its prosperity and delightfulness.

韭蘭與孤挺花都屬石蒜花科,不同於百合花屬百合科。雖然石蒜花與百合花都ㄧ樣有吊飾般的公花蕊,百合花是瓶狀母蕊,韭蘭和孤挺花的母蕊是另一朵小白花。
The leek orchid is belonging to the Lycorina which differs from the lilies, belonging to the Liliaceae. They both have charm stamens, the lily has a vase-like pistil but the leek orchid has a tiny white flower as its pistil.
